Oakland, California

RAAM Construction completed the construction of Oakland 34, a new 33-unit affordable rental community for seniors. The project is the cornerstone of the transformation of an entire Oakland neighborhood, in which there are currently a number of projects under construction.

Meta Housing Corporation acquired the land, which was originally entitled for a for-sale condominium project, and completed the necessary re-entitlements in order to construct Oakland 34. The new community was financed with 9% tax credits, as well as funding from the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco’s AHP fund.
